Boosting Ghana power cooperation: substations and port modernization

2025-08-12

In May 2023, our company officially delivered a prefabricated substation tailored for the James Town Fishing Port in Accra, the capital of Ghana, marking a new breakthrough in our cooperation in the field of power infrastructure construction in Africa. During the implementation of this project, our technical team always adhered to the concept of "customer first". Through in-depth research and multiple rounds of technical consultations over the past six months, we fully understood the characteristics of the fishing port operating environment and the actual needs of Ghana. In response to the special situation of high temperature, high humidity, and severe salt spray corrosion along the Atlantic coast, we carried out special optimization design for equipment sealing and anti-corrosion performance. The delivered prefabricated substation adopts a modular prefabricated structure, which has the advantages of fast installation and remote monitoring, significantly improving the power supply stability of the fishing port's refrigerated storage and processing equipment.

Today, we revisited our prefabricated substation—this 'two-year-old industrial infant' nurtured with care. Despite Ghana’s harsh conditions, it has delivered efficient, reliable performance, earning high praise from energy authorities. Like a mother’s 10-month pregnancy, engineers spent 6 months perfecting its design; like her lifelong guardianship, technicians safeguard it with data and inspections. As current flows through its steel frame in a rhythmic hum, we see the maternal dedication behind technology. We salute mothers who create life and craftsmen who engineer light—may every labor of love shine bright.
